I started conversational lessons with Anne because I wanted to practice my communication with people from Rio as well as to learn a little more about the culture of Rio itself. I had recently traveled to Rio and couldn't understand any one who spoke with the Carioca accent. Anne delivered on both fronts. She communicates clearly and speaks at a pace that is easy to understand. She knows a lot about the culture of Rio (especially from the perspective of the younger generation) and she helped me learn a lot about the different slang and expressions used in Rio (they can be way different than those used in SP). She also has a carioca accent, which helped me understand other people from Rio. Thanks to lessons with Anne, when I returned to Rio, I was able to understand people with ease and now understand many of the differences in sound that they use (a lot of shhhh sounds). She's motivated to teach and is willing to give you a conversational-based lesson around any topic that you might want to learn more vocabulary about. If you're looking for great conversational practice, I recommend Anne.

Personally I'm an intermediate level student I still need the occasional review and grammar lesson. But I'm also at that point where i need to practice USING what i know. Which is exactly where Anne is perfect for an intermediate level student. Because she does being exercises that help you correct your pronunciation, as well as preparing you for conversation. So on top of good exercises and pronunciation, then comes the practical aspect of her very fun teaching method which is fun and cool, getting to use your Português.
